From Unexpected Beginnings to Industry Leader
Chanpreet Bhasin-Lal, affectionately known as Chan, is the visionary founder and expert hair artist behind Blends by Chan. Her journey began with a surprising twist when her father encouraged her to forego the traditional university path and instead pursue her passion in the beauty industry. With his unconventional advice, Chan dedicated two years to completing her education before embarking on her hairdressing journey in 2015.
By 2020, after five years of dedication, learning from industry peers, and building a loyal clientele, Chan founded her first business, Blend Society. Since then, her journey as an entrepreneur has been marked by significant achievements, including being featured in Beauty Launchpad’s 30 Under 30, receiving three nominations at international hair shows, and, in 2024, joining Redken Canada—a leading brand in the industry—as a Redken Artist and Educator.
Chan's unwavering commitment to mastering the art of luxury hair and her passion for educating aspiring artists have firmly established her as an industry leader. As Chan often says, “This is just the beginning of something truly amazing".
